Analyte Information	Amino acid sequence 21-167 of human ZG16p was expressed in Escherichia coli using pCold- glutathione S-transferase (GST) vector. ZG16p is a soluble mammalian lectin with a Jacalin-related b-prism-fold. It is a secretory protein that was shown to play a role in the process of selective packing and sorting of pancreatic enzymes to the zymogen granule membrane in pancreatic acinar cells. Other functions, including the recognition of pathogens in the digestive system through a-mannose-related interaction are being discovered.

Protocol	After blocking arrayed slides with 3% (w/v) bovine serum albumin (Sigma A8577) in PBS, GST-ZG16p was overlaid onto the arrays at 200 ug/ml (undiluted) followed by rabbit anti-GST antibody Z-5 (Santa Cruz), 1:200, and then by biotinylated anti-rabbit IgG (Sigma), 1:200. Binding was detected using Alexa Fluor-647-labeled streptavidin from Molecular Probes (1 ug/ml).
